He said the garage had been issued with a licence to sell adult material and steps had been taken to ensure children could not see any unsuitable products.
Mr Ibrahim said his family had owned the garage for more than 30 years and had always sold top-shelf magazines and videos.
He said: "All the items are kept in a separate room, and there is no danger children can get in there or even see in there.
"I am aware that a couple of the villagers are unhappy about it. I said that if they were not happy it would probably be best if they didn't come in.
"There is another garage on the other side of the road." |
